“Yamal and Balde were on the verge of leaving Barca last summer,” says Joan Laporta’s advisor Masip
Joan Laporta’s advisor, Enric Masip, has shed light on a concerning situation that transpired at Barcelona during the summer transfer window. According to Masip, two promising young talents, Lamine Yamal and Alejandro Balde, were in significant danger of leaving the club.
Speaking on OnzeTV3, Masip revealed, “Lamine Yamal and Balde were in serious danger of leaving Barça. There is a club that wanted to sign Balde and Lamine. I will not mention their name.”
However, the strong relationship between Barcelona’s president, Joan Laporta, and super-agent Jorge Mendes played a crucial role in preventing the departure of Yamal and Balde from the club.
Thankfully, Laporta and the club’s leadership worked diligently to ensure that both young prospects remained at Barcelona. It’s now reported that Yamal and Balde are on the verge of signing new long-term contracts, which will secure their futures at the club for an extended period.
