With the theme “Shape your own game,” this year’s congress, scheduled for February 26 and 27, will explore discussions on the growth and diversification of personalization in the sports world.

The congress will feature a two-day networking space and a large conference hall. Sessions will focus on personalization in sports performance and fan experience. Renowned speakers and experts from various fields will contribute their insights during the event.

Notable sessions include a talk by Olympic gold medalist Ellen Hoog, who will discuss new strategies for optimizing nutrition for athletes participating in team sports. Yannis Pitsiladis, a genomics expert from the University of Brighton, will explore how incorporating genetic predisposition in performance analysis can enhance the well-being of elite athletes.

The agenda will delve into “sportomics,” analyzing various biological parameters to shed light on personalized training and injury prevention. The FC Barcelona medical team, represented by Dr. Gil Rodas and Dr. Eva Ferrer, along with ISGlobal researcher Juan Ramón González, will share insights into the club’s work in this field.

BIHUB-affiliated startups will have their space, with Onalabs discussing fitness personalization and Visualfy emphasizing the importance of accessible facilities.

International experts in data interpretation, such as Meghan Chayka, co-founder of Stathletes, and Sarah Bailey, research director at the Tennessee Titans, will contribute their knowledge. The first day’s agenda will also cover fan experience, featuring Skarpi Hedinsson, Chief Technology Officer at the Los Angeles Rams’ SoFi Stadium.

Roundtable discussions will include representatives from FC Barcelona-affiliated companies, presenting insights into diverse areas like blockchain technology (WhiteBit) and nutrition (BIMBO and Heura).

Additionally, the Allianz Startup Challenge will showcase emerging companies presenting solutions across various domains. The jury will include FC Barcelona’s Vice President of Economic Area, Eduard Romeu, and MotoGP rider Marc Márquez. The Sports Tomorrow Congress promises to be a dynamic platform for exploring the latest advancements and discussions in the sports innovation landscape.
