Chapi Ferrer’s Son, Daniel, Makes Scoring Debut for Barça Youth Team
Daniel Ferrer, the latest addition to Juvenil B, scored on his debut, providing a potential attacking boost to Pol Planas’s team. Tomi Marqués, Walton, and Daniel Ferrer joined in recent weeks to reinforce a Juvenil B squad affected by injuries and player promotions to Juvenil A.
The son of the legendary Albert Ferrer impressed in his debut against Martinenc, contributing a goal in the 6-0 victory, making it the team’s most comfortable match of the season. Daniel, a winger signed from Europa, played for 45 minutes and showcased his talent as a left-footed player excelling with his weaker foot.
With the team now five points behind the league leader, Gimnàstic de Manresa, after their draw against Sabadell, the straightforward course of the match allowed Pol Planas to give Daniel Ferrer a chance. Known for his astute game understanding and high associative level, Daniel, an 18-year-old talent, demonstrated his goal-scoring ability, previously evident with Europa, where he scored three goals in seven matches, including two against Juvenil B Barcelona.
Daniel, who has also played for Elche and Badalona, inherits a great opportunity to shine in the club where his father excelled. Albert Ferrer, famously known as Chapi, was a key right-back for Johan Cruyff’s Dream Team from 1990 to 1998, contributing significantly to the team’s success with five La Liga titles, one UEFA Champions League, one UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup, and two Copa del Rey trophies. Currently, Albert Ferrer remains connected to Barcelona as the coach of Barça Legends.
