Reports indicate that Ter Stegen underwent a hair transplant procedure in 2019. Since the 2019/20 season, he has featured in 202 matches, securing 80 clean sheets while conceding a total of 209 goals.
During that period, he did face challenges and even received criticism from Xavi for his form two years ago. However, last season, Ter Stegen’s performance was nothing short of exceptional. He delivered 28 clean sheets in 50 appearances and was rightfully named La Liga’s Player of the Season.
