Real Madrid Eyes Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala as Kylian Mbappé Alternative
Real Madrid is considering the pursuit of Bayern Munich attacking midfielder Jamal Musiala as an alternative option, but only if their pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappé doesn’t materialize, as reported by ESPN.
According to a report from Sport Bild, Real Madrid’s interest in Musiala is contingent on their ability to secure Mbappé. Bayern Munich, on the other hand, is keen on extending the 20-year-old’s contract, which currently runs until 2026, although this would require a significant wage increase from his current earnings of around €8 million per year.
However, Musiala is currently focused on his present performances and not considering discussions about a contract extension until the end of the season. His remarkable displays this season have been marked by four goals and three assists in 12 appearances across all competitions.
A potential move to Real Madrid would reunite Musiala with his close friend Jude Bellingham, who is also 20 years old and has been a top scorer in LaLiga while jointly leading the charts in the Champions League.
Manchester City is another interested party in Musiala, with manager Pep Guardiola considering him a possible successor to Kevin De Bruyne.
