In an official announcement, Athletico Paranaense has confirmed that their upcoming match against Santos will mark Vitor Roque’s final home appearance before he embarks on his journey to Barcelona.

“The last act alongside the Athletico fans. The game against Santos will be Vitor Roque’s last at the Ligga Arena before he leaves for Europe,” the club’s statement affirms.

Barcelona secured the services of the Brazilian talent for a substantial €40 million last summer. While Roque inked a long-term contract with Barça, extending until 2031, he had to continue plying his trade in Brazil due to the Blaugrana’s ongoing Financial Fair Play challenges, preventing his immediate registration.

Now, with La Liga granting the green light for the move, it seems that the highly anticipated transition to Barcelona is finally on the horizon.
