In a recent statement, Julian Alvarez, who once idolized Leo Messi and later played alongside him for Argentina, shared his contentment with life at Manchester City. Despite his admiration for Messi, Alvarez expressed that he isn’t particularly eager to follow in his role model’s footsteps by playing for Barcelona or Real Madrid.
“The truth is I’m very happy at Manchester City,” Alvarez stated when quizzed about potential moves to Barcelona or Real Madrid. “I’ve been at the club for a little more than a year. I feel very happy with everything we’ve achieved. From the first moment, they’ve helped me a lot. I’ve grown a lot as a player, as a person, so I’m happy at the club.”
Acknowledging Alvarez’s significance, Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola rates the young striker highly, potentially making any transfer away from the English club challenging.
