After the closure of Barca TV in June due to financial constraints, Barcelona President Joan Laporta is spearheading efforts to resurrect the club’s official channel. Bar Canaletes reports exclusive details, revealing that plans for the revival are in motion, with a proposed relaunch date set for the last quarter of 2024. Toni Cruz, from the musical group “La Trinca” and associated with television production company Gestmusic, is poised to lead production, leveraging his prior experience with Barca TV. Mediapro CEO Jaume Roures, a key ally of Laporta, will oversee the project. Barcelona aims for a seamless revival while ensuring financial sustainability.
