Barcelona’s Summer Tour Plans to the USA Halted: Messi Reunion Postponed

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona has set its sights on the USA as the pre-season tour destination for the summer of ’24. With Lionel Messi now in Florida, there were hopes of organizing a friendly with Inter Miami, bringing together Messi and three other former Blaugrana icons – Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets.

However, these plans faced an obstacle as Inter Miami had to decline Barcelona’s proposal due to the tight schedules of the players. The upcoming summer is packed with events such as the Copa America and Leagues Cup scheduled within the same month.

The eagerly anticipated nostalgic reunion will have to be postponed, as the logistical challenges make it unfeasible. As promised by Joan Laporta earlier, fans can likely look forward to this special event taking place at the renewed Camp Nou arena in the years to come.
