After one year and eighteen days, Bruna Vilamala found the back of the net again in an official match for FC Barcelona. The academy player, who has faced a series of injuries over the past two seasons, made her mark against Betis this season.

Her last goal dated back to the hat-trick she scored against Osasuna in the Copa de la Reina match (0-9) in January 2023, which was later forfeited due to an improper lineup. However, she did score against Juventus in the Gamper on August 24 and with the Spanish U-23 national team on September 21 against Portugal.

Bruna returned after a muscle injury on December 21, and her reintegration into the team has been gradual. Starting against Betis, she had an opportunity to showcase her talents.

The players who have participated less during the season had minutes. I am very happy for all the team’s work because, as the coach said at halftime, you can’t tell if some players or others are playing, and that’s the goal.”

She expressed her joy at scoring, saying, “I was really looking forward to scoring again, to rediscovering the goal. It had been a long time since I scored, and, in the end, my position demands it quite a bit. I will keep working.”

In conclusion, she stated, “This doesn’t stop, and our ambition is maximum, as everyone knows. We will go out to win every game.”
