Barcelona Nears Deal for Swedish Sensation Lukas Bergvall
Barcelona has been closely monitoring the progress of 17-year-old Swedish midfielder Lukas Bergvall from Djugarden for weeks. As reported by MD, the young midfielder has prioritized a move to Barcelona, but his current club expected a new offer that could match those from other interested clubs, especially Eintracht Frankfurt. It appears that the Catalan club is ready to meet the demands, reaching the €10 million that the Germans were willing to pay, with a structure of €7 million fixed and €3 million in variables for the talented player.
Market specialists Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto have advanced this information, virtually considering the signing of the already-established Swedish international by Barcelona as a done deal. Djugarden’s condition was that Barcelona’s proposal hovered around €10 million. The player’s commitment was already absolute, as Bergvall intended to don the Blaugrana jersey starting July 1, putting other offers on hold.
Bergvall has earned admiration from the sports management, which firmly believes that the club’s future should revolve around young talents, both homegrown and external, complemented by some young players who are already key figures in the team, along with the experience of certain veterans.
Making his professional debut on November 21, 2021, with Brommapojkama, Bergvall joined Djugardens a year later, playing 25 matches with the first team last season. Now, he is on the verge of sealing a move to Barcelona.
