Barça’s First Team Completes 15 Years at Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper

Fifteen years have passed since the first team of FC Barcelona moved to the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. Operating at an exceptionally professional and methodical level, the team has engaged in countless meticulously prepared training sessions in this laboratory to ensure the flawless performance of its players. The relocation to Sant Joan Despí occurred three years after the facility’s inauguration.

The day-to-day routine of Barça has undergone significant changes since January 19, 2009, when it bid farewell to La Masia after 30 years and shifted to this sophisticated complex. The Barcelona team now alternates between two fields exclusively dedicated to training, featuring dimensions identical to the Camp Nou pitch. Additionally, they have access to a covered pavilion, a fully-equipped locker room, a gym, jacuzzis, massage rooms, medical facilities, a relaxation area, and a dining area to complete their preparations.
