Barcelona Secures Young Talent with Signing of Malian Playmaker Ibrahim Diarra

The FC Barcelona continues its efforts to recruit young talent and sealed the deal on Tuesday with the acquisition of 17-year-old Malian attacking midfielder Ibrahim Diarra. Diarra, one of the standout players in the recent U-17 World Cup, is set to undergo a training period while awaiting confirmation on whether he will strengthen the Juvenil or Barça Atlètic. The official announcement from the Blaugrana is pending, but Africa Foot Academy has revealed the upcoming training phase for Diarra, also known as Kaká.

Ibrahima Diarra recently visited the facilities of the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper in Barcelona, accompanied by Paulo Araujo, the director of the Blaugrana scouting department. Now, he aims to showcase his talent to convince the club’s sports management.

This signing marks the first under the collaboration agreement signed on August 30 between Barcelona and Africa Foot, extending for five seasons until 2028. The partnership grants Barcelona a priority option for the two best players emerging from the African academy each season, with Ibrahim Diarra being the inaugural talent from this collaboration.
