Pedri Reflects on Barça’s Victory: “La Liga is Complicated, But I’ve Seen Worse Turnarounds”

Pedri breathed a sigh of relief at the end of the match. The Canary Islander emphasized the importance of the three points against Osasuna to regain a bit of calm and assessed the two key figures of the day at Can Barça: coach Xavi Hernández and Vitor Roque, the savior of a Barça in need of a return to victory.

Pedri began by describing the pleasure of winning again after the triumph against Osasuna. “This victory feels very good. It was a difficult match considering where we came from, from a very strange week. The important thing is to keep adding points.” The midfielder highlighted unwavering support for Xavi. “It’s not a normal week. It’s complicated, but it’s the coach’s decision. Pedri expressed solidarity with some of Xavi’s messages that have sparked controversy. “Being the coach of Barça has to be complicated. Every time you lose a game, criticism comes, but it’s the best club in the world, and you have to know how to handle it.”

Pedri also praised Vitor Roque, the scorer of the only goal in the match. “Vitor Roque brings a lot of intensity to the game and has a goal-scoring instinct. He constantly makes runs, and that’s crucial. He’s going to give us a lot in the future.”

After returning to the path of victory, the Canary Islander appealed to nothing short of a miracle to not rule out Barça in the title race. “It’s complicated, but I’ve seen worse situations turn around. The club deserves it,” he emphasized.
