Tottenham Secures the Signing of Lucas Bergvall, Beating Barcelona to the Punch

Tottenham Hotspur officially announced the signing of Lucas Bergvall on Friday. The London-based club revealed that the Swedish midfielder has committed to the team until June 2029 and will join their ranks on July 1. The economic details of the transfer from Djurgarden, Bergvall’s previous club, were not disclosed by Tottenham. Despite FC Barcelona’s interest, the midfielder ultimately chose to play in the Premier League. The confirmation of his transfer to the ‘Spurs’ coincides with his 18th birthday on February 2.

He was only 16 when he first played for IF Brommapojkarna in the Superettan, the second division of Swedish football, and featured in 11 matches as BP secured promotion to the Allsvenskan in 2022.”
