The noteworthy inclusion in the Barcelona expedition is the return of Iñigo Martínez. The central defender had been sidelined since January 7, following the Barbastro-Barça (2-3) clash in the Copa del Rey’s round of 16. The club had reported the next day that the player suffered a muscular injury to the left thigh’s biceps femoris.
Barcelona is set to face Deportivo Alavés at Mendizorroza on Saturday, kicking off at 18:30 hours, aiming for a consecutive victory. Xavi’s players seek to build on their recent success against Osasuna, where they secured a clean sheet (1-0).
