Barça’s Positive Outcome in the Second Genuine LaLiga Phase

The Fundación Barcelona participated in the second phase of LaLiga Genuine 2023/24 held in Cádiz from February 2 to 4. The weekend provided the players with positive experiences both in sports and camaraderie, culminating in a favorable sporting outcome.

The journey began on Friday with the team’s arrival in the Andalusian city and a presentation event at the Nuevo Mirandilla stadium, home to Cádiz. Representations from each of the 22 participating teams paraded in customary fashion.

On Saturday, February 3, the competition kicked off. In the morning, Fundació Barça faced a defeat against Girona CF (2-1). Fortunately, the afternoon match brought the first victory for the blue and maroon squad against Tenerife (2-0).

Continuing in the path of triumph on Sunday morning, the Barcelona team secured another win against UD Las Palmas with a score of 1-0. Beyond the results, the most crucial aspect for the participants was the consistent embodiment of values instilled by coaches and psychologists within the Fundación Barça.

Following the Cádiz experience, LaLiga Genuine’s competition will resume for its third phase on the weekend of April 13 and 14, hosted in Tenerife at the Ciudad Deportiva Javier Pérez. The final phase will take place at the Ciudad Deportiva Fernando Santos de la Parra in Getafe on June 8 and 9.

In the initial phase held in Tarragona in November 2023, Fundación Barça secured a 2-1 victory against Fútbol Base Reus and a 4-0 win against Real Zaragoza, with a defeat against Sevilla (2-1).
