The NFL is set to touchdown in Spain in 2025, confirming its expansion to the country with a scheduled game at the Santiago Bernabéu. While the focus is currently on the agreement with Real Madrid, the league has left the door open for potential discussions with FC Barcelona regarding an official game at the Camp Nou.
Peter O’Reilly, the NFL’s Executive Vice President, emphasized the significance of having a world-class stadium for hosting an NFL game. He mentioned, “Having a world-class stadium is an important factor for an NFL game and will be significant if there are talks with FC Barcelona in the future.” However, he also noted that their primary focus at the moment is on the agreement with Real Madrid.
