In the closing ceremony of the eighteenth edition of ‘Relats Solidaris de l’Esport,’ Polish striker Robert Lewandowski expressed confidence that FC Barcelona is in a prime moment to turn things around and secure victories, emphasizing the upcoming matches in Vigo and the Champions League.

” We are at the ideal moment to change, to play better. First in Vigo, and then comes the Champions League. We are working towards it. It’s difficult to explain what’s happening because, for example, we conceded three goals against Granada. We’ve had a long week to work, and, as I’ve said, we are in the perfect moment to change,” explained Lewandowski during the event that concluded the eighteenth edition of ‘Relats Solidaris de l’Esport,’ a book written by sports journalists for charitable purposes.

This edition raised €80,993, surpassing one million euros collected over the eighteen years of the project. Lewandowski presented the check with this amount to Víctor Rodríguez, a representative of the Lovaas Foundation, the beneficiary of this edition, dedicated to autism spectrum disorder.

Lewandowski, delighted to contribute to this fundraising effort, delivered a message to the fans, saying, “Calm and confidence. I am sure we will win many matches, and by the end of the season, we will win something.”

Regarding the challenges faced by Barcelona this season, he pointed out factors like not playing in the Spotify Camp Nou and the lack of experience. “Last year there were Busquets, Jordi Alba, and Piqué. This year there is a mix of experience and youth, and that makes a difference,” mentioned the Polish striker, who refrained from commenting on Spanish refereeing.

He remained non-committal about his future and the possibility of Hansi Flick becoming Barcelona’s coach next season. “Xavi is the Barcelona coach. Flick? He is a good person,” Lewandowski stated.

In the ceremony held at the Antigua Fábrica Damm in Barcelona, Víctor Rodríguez expressed gratitude for the substantial support received, emphasizing that the funds would be directed towards the social aspect, reaching environments with social risk for people affected by autism and their families. He highlighted a special match at Montjuïc where members of the Lovaas Foundation fulfilled a dream by being close to the footballers during the Barcelona-Girona encounter.
