FC Barcelona youth academy alumna and current UD Levante player, Anna Torrodà, has announced a hiatus from her playing career to prioritize and nurture her mental well-being. The midfielder, who began her football journey in Barcelona’s youth ranks, made the announcement on her social media platforms.

Torrodà, who progressed through the youth ranks at FC Barcelona, joined RCD Espanyol in 2018. After a two-year spell with the blanquiazul club, she moved to Valencia. Following three seasons with Valencia, she joined Levante for the 2023/24 season.

In the ongoing season, Anna Torrodà has featured in 11 league matches, 2 in the Supercopa, and 1 in the Champions League. The Catalan midfielder has also represented the Spanish national under-23 team. Torrodà had been absent from Levante’s recent squad lists and did not participate in the Barcelona-Levante match last Wednesday.
