Joao Félix Returns to Training Ahead of Naples Trip
In a notable development during this morning’s FC Barcelona training session, Xavi oversaw the final preparatory session before the journey to Naples for the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16, with the surprise inclusion of Joao Félix. As reported earlier by SPORT, the forward has shown improvement in his ankle and stands a chance of making the squad for the European competition.
Out of action for three weeks due to an ankle sprain, the Portuguese international’s sensations improved towards the end of last week. The pain significantly subsided, and the regained mobility allowed him to dream of at least traveling to Naples. In the past few hours, this progress has continued, and unless there’s a setback, the Atlético Madrid-owned player will be included in the squad.
