Barça’s Grand Reception at Naples Headquarters
The FC Barcelona team is already settled in Naples, gearing up for a crucial match on Wednesday at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16.
The Barcelona expedition landed at around 12:45 at the city’s airport and, an hour later, set up base at the Grand Vesuvius Hotel, just in front of the Castel dell’Ovo. The arrival of the team bus was a massive crowd event with nearly 200 people, including several Barcelona supporters who had traveled from the Catalan capital (there was even a group from Móstoles). At the hotel entrance, two dozen journalists and cameramen were present, along with a ‘legion’ of ‘carabinieri’ ensuring the team’s security. The team arrived in two buses, with the second carrying staff and the board. Joan Laporta entered, joking with Xavi, and Deco followed behind. The entire top management is now in Naples.
