Official: Aleix Garrido to Undergo Surgery After Foot Fracture

Barça Atlètic’s player Aleix Garrido is set to undergo surgical intervention in the coming days for a fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his left foot, as confirmed by the club through official channels. While the club did not provide a specific recovery timeline, it acknowledged the injury, stating, “Barça Atlètic player Aleix Garrido will undergo surgical intervention in the coming days for a fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his left foot. Garrido had recently returned to play against Cultural Leonesa (4-0) last Sunday after overcoming muscle discomfort in the soleus of his right leg, which had previously prevented him from facing Rayo Majadahonda (3-1) at the Estadi Johan Cruyff.

However, his comeback was short-lived. Coming on as a substitute for Héctor Fort in the 58th minute, Garrido had to request a change just six minutes later, with Noah Darvich taking his place. The young player immediately sensed the severity of the issue, leaving the field in tears and visibly affected.

In the post-match interview, his teammate Marc Casadó revealed that the problem was related to the foot, not the previously recovered soleus issue, and the entire team tried to support him in a challenging moment.

This season has proven to be complicated for Aleix Garrido, a promising talent from the Barça academy. Earlier in the campaign, he missed three matches due to a pubic contusion, adding to the challenges faced during his promising career.
