Michal Zuk Shines in Florence with the U-15 National Team
Michal Zuk, the midfielder born in Blanes with Polish origins, has left a strong impression in the two friendly matches that Spain played against Italy in the U-15 category. The Spanish U-15 national team, led by Francisco Gallardo, secured a 1-1 draw in the first match and clinched a 1-0 victory in the second, with notable contributions from several young talents associated with FC Barcelona. Apart from Zuk, Ebrima, who scored a goal in the first game, Pesquer, Ruslan, Joan Inglés, and Mayans also participated in these friendly encounters.
The triumph-sealing goal in today’s match was scored by Enzo, the son of former Real Madrid full-back Marcelo. Michal Zuk, a 15-year-old midfielder, stood out prominently, particularly in the first game where Ebrima showcased his skills by finding the back of the net.
Zuk’s distinctive blonde hair is just a side note compared to his exceptional ability to control and organize his team’s play. Currently alternating between Cadete B and Cadete A at Barcelona, Zuk is a standout player for the Spanish U-15 team, showcasing his talent as part of the 2009 generation.
Zuk played a pivotal role in Spain’s draw in Florence, demonstrating a mature understanding of the game, exceptional vision, and technical prowess to dictate the pace and intentions of the U-15 Spanish national team.
At 15, Zuk is an elegant midfielder who consistently displays a mature interpretation of the game. Despite being a virtuoso with the ball, Barcelona’s coaches are molding him into an interior or central midfielder who prioritizes collective play over personal flair.
Five other Barcelona youngsters also made significant contributions in Italy. Ebrima Tunkara, the captain in the first match, showcased his skills, scoring a penalty he had earned with a display of great class. Defenders Sergi Mayans and Jordi Pesquer demonstrated their solidity, while Joan Inglés, a central defender in Cadete B, played as a defensive midfielder. Young winger Ruslan Mba, a year younger, impressed during his 69 minutes on the field, bringing creativity to the left-wing.
All these talents will now return to Barcelona’s setup. David Sánchez’s Cadete B team will play this weekend on Sunday at 12 p.m. against Rapitenca. Barcelona leads Group Four of the Cadete Preferente League with 49 points, one ahead of Cambrils’ Cadete A.
