The Spain U-19 national team, led by coach José Lana, has announced its squad for the upcoming Elite Round set to take place from March 20 to 26 in Slovenia. This tournament serves as the qualifying stage for the 2024 UEFA European U-19 Championship in Northern Ireland. Among the selected players are FC Barcelona’s Héctor Fort and Marc Guiu, demonstrating their prowess on the pitch.

José Lana plans to gather the twenty chosen players on March 17 at 20:00 at the Hotel Madrid Alameda Aeropuerto before heading to Slovenia on March 18, with Liubliana as their destination.

Spain has been drawn into Group 1 and will face challenges from Austria, Kosovo, and Slovenia. The group winners will secure a spot in the European Championship scheduled for July 15 to 28, 2024, in Ireland, which will also act as a qualifier for the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
