Bradley Barcola, the left winger for PSG, sustained an injury during Friday’s match between the French U-23 team and Ivory Coast. With the extent of the injury yet to be determined pending further tests, Barcola may miss the crucial clash against FC Barcelona in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals for the 2023-24 season.

During the match, Barcola signaled for a substitution in the 26th minute of the first half after experiencing discomfort in the posterior part of his left thigh. His position was filled by fellow forward Wilson Odobert from Burnley FC.

The medical staff of the French Football Federation (FFF) will conduct additional tests on Barcola in the coming hours to assess the severity of the injury.

The PSG vs. FC Barcelona fixture, slated for the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals, is scheduled to take place at Parc des Princes on Wednesday, April 10th, kicking off at 21:00 CET.

Barcola, aged 21 and under contract with PSG until June 2028, holds a market value of €40 million. This season in Ligue 1, he has appeared in 24 matches, scoring two goals, and providing five assists.
