How Luis Enrique Unwinds in Barcelona
Taking advantage of the international break, Luis Enrique has spent some time in Barcelona. The PSG coach, who will face his former team in the Champions League quarter-finals, went out for dinner at one of his favorite restaurants along with Ivan de la Peña, one of his close friends in football.
The meeting took place at the Estimar restaurant in the Ciutat Vella neighborhood. The owner of the establishment, Rafa Zafra, shared a photo of the encounter on his social media accounts. He posted it on his Instagram story, showing himself with Luis Enrique, Ivan de la Peña, and some family members.
Luis Enrique’s Future
The Asturian coach has maintained a strong relationship with De la Peña since their time together at Barcelona’s first team. During a Twitch session on Friday, Luis Enrique addressed questions from users, including the possibility of returning to Barcelona someday.
“In the future, of course, I would like to return to Barcelona,” he began, before elaborating on his response. “I understand that it is difficult for our paths to cross,” he added.
He emphasized his commitment to the teams he currently serves, such as PSG. “Certain circumstances would need to arise, such as them wanting me and me being available. I am someone who always respects my contracts and fulfills my commitments to those who trust in me. I am happy in Paris, and I do not break my contracts,” he concluded.
