Xavi Hernández Opens Up: ‘It Was Crazy…’ – Barça’s Focus on Youth for 2024-25

Xavi Hernández takes center stage in the inaugural episode of the series ‘The Album’, set to debut on the new free video platform, Barça One. Against the backdrop of Barça Studios transformed into a photographic studio, the FC Barcelona coach reflects on his journey through his most iconic snapshots.

From his illustrious playing career at Barça to his debut under Louis van Gaal, the arrival of Rijkaard and Ronaldinho, the glorious era with Guardiola, the setbacks of injuries, and his emotional farewell with the 2015 Champions League triumph, Xavi revisits these pivotal moments in the first installment.

In a preview video shared by FC Barcelona, Xavi reminisces about his beginnings and tenure at his beloved club: “It was crazy (to debut) at 17. The first thing that comes to mind is the feeling that I’ve lived my life at Barça and experienced everything imaginable,” reflects the Egarense-born coach. “It’s unbelievable, but in these 17 years, we’ve gone from being in a footballing hole to reaching the sky,” he adds, pondering his years with the first team as a player.

The series ‘The Album’ showcases Club legends, offering a unique insight into their journeys. Set to premiere on Barça One, a new free OTT platform globally, it promises the best selection of Barça-themed content.
