The FC Barcelona’s U-7 football teams from the academy have showcased spectacular gameplay and achieved fantastic results in Easter tournaments. Events such as the MIC, Costa Girona Cup, Íscar Cup, Santa Ponça Cup, and Iber Cup have all witnessed the shining brilliance of Barcelona’s U-7 football.
Barcelona’s U-7 football remains the Masia’s best-kept secret. Marc Serra guards the essence of a structure that lays the foundation for the growth of Masia’s promising talents. The Barça style serves as the guiding principle in training sessions and matches for the youngest academy teams, where the Barça philosophy is naturally imbibed. Apart from their commendable footballing prowess displayed weekly in their leagues, the Easter tournaments have once again affirmed the level of Barcelona’s U-7 teams.

MIC Sub-12 At the MIC, Barcelona’s U-12 teams competed in two formats. The U-12 A team emerged as champions in their category in the 11-a-side format, defeating Real Madrid in the final.
Juanan Gil’s boys showcased their readiness for the transition to youth football after overcoming Real Madrid in the final.
The U-12 B team exhibited dominance in the MIC’s 7-a-side format, where they shattered all scoring records. Only Espanyol managed to challenge Barcelona in the final, where Iban Tey led the Blaugrana.
COSTA GIRONA CUP The U-11 B team clinched victory in the Costa Girona Cup final by thrashing Girona 8-0 after defeating Sevilla 4-2 in the semifinals. Interestingly, Igualada proved to be the toughest opponent, with Barcelona scraping through with a 1-0 victory in the quarterfinals. The U-9 A team defeated Villarreal in the semifinals but lost to Real Madrid in the final.
Players like Guillem Balcells, Pep Farrés, or Enric Vilaró stood out in Jordi Pérez’s U-11 team, guided by the excellent formative skills of the Manresa-native coach.
The U-9 A team also emerged victorious in this tournament, defeating Mercantil in the semifinals and Atlético in the final.
ÍSCAR CUP Barcelona’s U-8 team, led by Pol Combellé, displayed a monumental exhibition in this tournament, featuring the best teams from across Spain. Real Madrid faltered along the way as Barcelona dominated all their opponents, including a 3-0 win against Betis in the semifinals and a 5-1 victory against Sevilla in the final.
Players like Destiny were goal machines, while Marco Mollica excelled on the right, and Izan proved lethal on the left. Marc Ribera and Pedrito Juárez shone in midfield.
SANTA PONÇA CUP Arç Martínez, Ousmane Sylla, or Santi Almandoz were standout players in the U-10 B team, which clinched the Santa Ponça Cup. They defeated the Italian side Parma 8-0 in the quarterfinals and faced a more balanced challenge in the semifinals against Atlético, winning 2-1. In the final, Barcelona once again triumphed, securing a 4-0 victory against Mallorca.
IBER CUP 2024 Barcelona’s U-10 A team showcased their potential by delivering a remarkable 9-1 victory against prestigious club Porto in Málaga. This result underscores Barcelona’s ability to attract players of immense potential and talent across all age groups.
Other Tournaments In Castellón’s Primer Toque tournament, the U-8 team suffered a quarterfinal loss against Valencia but bounced back in the consolation final, thrashing Atlético Madrid 5-1. At this age, results are incidental; what matters is the individual talent of players and the formative capacity of coaches to refine these promising talents.
