PSG Ultras Issue Threat Ahead of Barcelona Clash
The most radical fans of the Parisian club warn of “more than just a hostile reception” for the Blaugrana.
As the PSG-Barcelona quarter-final clash in the Champions League approaches, tensions escalate, particularly from Paris, where the club’s ultras have begun to stir the pot. In a public statement, they not only disparage Barcelona but also announce an impending “more than hostile” reception in the French capital.
The ultras’ full statement reads: “On Wednesday, our team faces FC Barcelona. For us, the match began with the final whistle against Clermont (ending in a draw, thankfully). Our role will be crucial, and we demand total and collective mobilization from everyone. Let’s unite as one to rally behind our own. Let’s head to the stadium early, don the red and blue shirts, and make our opponents tremble as soon as they step onto the field for warm-up. This vile Barcelona, so often favored by referees, must feel itself in more than just hostile territory.
“It is our duty to turn Parc des Princes into a terrifying fortress for the adversary, matching our team’s determination to make it impregnable. This team, whose warrior and solidarity mentality we admire, must feel an entire people standing firmly by its side. Let’s ignite our legendary (though unclear why, in football terms) Parc des Princes; let’s be relentless. Our sole objective is victory, and to achieve it, let’s play our part to the fullest. Together, we are invincible.”
The return leg will be played at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, also known as Montjuïc, allowing the Parisians, regardless of the outcome of the first leg, to avoid dwelling on the day when, at Camp Nou, they suffered their most humiliating defeat in European history.
