Possible FC Barcelona Lineup Against PSG for Champions League Quarterfinal First Leg

0

FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are set to clash on April 10th in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals. The initial encounter will take place at Parc des Princes, where the Blaugranas haven’t won since 2015, while the return leg will be on April 16th at Estadi Olímpic de Montjuïc.

Xavi Hernández has welcomed back two key players for the European showdown. Frenkie de Jong and Pedri have been included in the squad to travel to the French capital, although both are still awaiting medical clearance. It’s anticipated that both may feature against PSG, with the Dutchman expected to start, while the Canary Islander could come on in the second half, depending on the final training session before the match.

The only two players remaining in Barcelona’s infirmary are Gavi and Balde, but the midfielder hasn’t wanted to leave the team alone and has traveled with the group to Paris.

On the home side, Luis Enrique won’t have the services of some key players like Achraf Hakimi or Kimpembe. Both defenders will be unavailable for the Champions League due to different reasons; the former Real Madrid player received his third yellow card against Real Sociedad and will have to serve a one-match suspension, while the French center-back has been sidelined for the entire season due to an Achilles tendon injury.

Probable Lineups for PSG vs. FC Barcelona:

Paris Saint-Germain: Donnarumma; Zaire-Emery, Marquinhos, Skriniar, Lucas Hernández; Ugarte, Fabián, Vitinha; Dembélé, Kolo Muani, Mbappé.

FC Barcelona: Ter Stegen; Cancelo, Araújo, Cubarsí, Koundé; De Jong, Christensen, Gündogan; Raphinha, Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal.
