Dembélé Forgets His Past as a Blaugrana
FC Barcelona visits Parc des Princes tonight at 9:00 PM for the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals against Paris Saint-Germain. Despite Barcelona taking the lead, thanks to a goal by Raphinha just minutes before the end of the first half, PSG managed to overturn the result in the second half.
The first to find the net was Ousmane Dembélé, who seized a loose ball inside the box after a rebound from Araujo. A cut past Frenkie de Jong created the necessary space, and with his left foot, slipping, he sent a rocket into the back of Ter Stegen’s net, unreachable for the goalkeeper or for Araujo and Kounde, who attempted to intercept.
The former Barça player celebrated with great enthusiasm, disregarding his six seasons defending the Blaugrana shirt. Two minutes later, Vitinha scored the 2-1, and Dembélé himself did not temper his excitement and encouraged the Parc des Princes crowd to continue supporting the team.
After Barcelona leveled the score 2-2 with Raphinha’s brace, thanks to a brilliant assist from Pedri, Dembélé had the chance to put PSG ahead again. His shot veered too wide and collided with the base of Ter Stegen’s left post.
