Paco Seirul.lo Unveils His ‘Barça DNA’ in Public Presentation

In the heart of Enric Granados’ Abacus Bookstore, surrounded by family, friends, former executives, players, journalists, and admirers, Paco Seirul.lo introduced his book ‘Barça DNA’ to the public. It’s a collection of experiences, learnings, and a tribute to the great Johan Cruyff, the pioneer of a genuine style revered worldwide in football.

Moderated by SPORT’s deputy director Albert Masnou, the event allowed Seirul.lo to reminisce, share anecdotes, and get emotional. “I hope that anyone who picks it up, starts reading it, and feels love for Barça can identify with something in this book,” commented Seirul.lo.

Paco was a part of Johan Cruyff’s ‘Dream Team’ as a fitness coach, worked with Rijkaard and Pep Guardiola, and played a significant role during the best years of the Catalan club.

EMOTIONAL REMEMBRANCE OF JOHAN Forever grateful, Seirul.lo became emotional when asked what he would say to Johan if he met him today: “I would say… thank you for everything, for what you did, for the teachings. He was a genius, I can’t express it. I would hug him,” while shedding a few tears. One of the afternoon’s anecdotes came from Guillermo Amor, who was among the attendees. “Say something, Guillermo,” Paco asked amidst laughter. “What can I say, we met at 18 or 19 years old in La Masia. I can only thank you for what you’ve done for me. When you told me not to have surgery on my pubis and helped me recover. You saved me from going under the knife twice. For those nights we sneaked out to go to the cinema. A friend for life.”

Seirul.lo referenced two key figures: “For me, the two best presidents in Barça’s history were Núñez, for creating La Masia and laying the foundations for everything, and Bartomeu, for his socioeducational contributions.”

After a cheerful and nostalgic discussion, the event concluded with a resounding ovation.
