French Police Detain Barcelona Fans for Racist Behavior After PSG Match

The video that surfaced Wednesday night following the PSG vs. Barcelona game is utterly disgraceful. It captured two individuals from the Barcelona fan section performing the Nazi salute and hurling racial insults at a black supporter in the home crowd. However, on Thursday, as reported by ‘As’, French police detained both individuals before they could return to Barcelona. The police department has charged them with “glorification of war crimes and public insult of a racist nature”. It remains unknown at this point, continues the sports newspaper, whether the two detainees are affiliated with any of the radical ultra groups associated with FC Barcelona, some of whom had announced their intention to travel to Paris beforehand.
