Lewandowski Reenters the Race for the ‘Pichichi’ 2023-2024
Artem Dovbyk (Girona) currently leads the scoring charts with 19 goals, two ahead of Bellingham and Sorloth (17). Following them closely is Barcelona’s number 9, who with his hat-trick in just 45 minutes against Valencia, sits fourth with 16 goals. Barcelona forward Robert Lewandowski began the season as the top contender to win the Pichichi trophy for the 2023-2024 season, awarded to the highest scorer in LaLiga EA Sports. The Polish striker dominated the scoring charts last year from start to finish, clinching his first title with 23 goals.
Despite a slow start to the current campaign and being far from his usual numbers, the Catalan number 9 is coming alive in the final stretch of the season. With his hat-trick against Valencia, he now ranks fourth in the scoring charts with 16 goals, just 3 behind Artem Dovbyk (Girona), the leader with 19 goals, after converting a penalty against Las Palmas.
Second place is shared by Jude Bellingham (R. Madrid) and Sörloth (Villarreal). The Englishman rested this weekend ahead of the Champions League semifinals, while the Villarreal striker scored a brace, leaving them both with 17 goals.
In fourth place is Barcelona’s Polish striker, followed by Borja Mayoral (Getafe) and Budimir (Osasuna), who are both sidelined due to injury for the remainder of the season.
Following them are Morata (Atlético) and Guruzeta (Athletic), both with 14 goals, and Hugo Duro (Valencia), Griezmann (Atleti), and Vinicius (R. Madrid), with 13 goals each.
