Estevao ‘Messinho’ Set to Aim for the Premier League

There have been significant developments in the future of Estevao ‘Messinho’, Palmeiras’ latest gem who, at 17, is already making waves in the reigning Brazilian champions.

Negotiations are progressing, albeit with no agreement between the clubs. Palmeiras, under the strong leadership of president Leila Pereia, is in no rush, financially stable, and protected by a €60 million release clause.

Chelsea is willing to offer €32 million upfront, with easily achievable variables, potentially reaching €45 million, meeting Palmeiras’ minimum valuation.

The negotiations, involving the clubs and the player’s agents, are on track, with a resolution possible in the coming weeks, possibly before the European transfer market opens.

While Chelsea leads the race, Arsenal has also entered the fray, leveraging its Brazilian contingent and the expertise of sporting director Edu Gaspar, formerly of the CBF.

It’s worth noting that PSG, previously in pole position, withdrew from the race last year after failing to reach an agreement with Palmeiras’ president.

In this context, Barcelona has not pursued Estevao, as reported by SPORT in recent months, indicating that he does not fit into the sporting director’s plans.
