Barcelona Gears Up for Real Sociedad Visit

Barcelona is gearing up for the visit of Real Sociedad this Monday (21:00/Lluís Companys). The Blaugrana have returned to training with the available players after a rest day on Tuesday.

Currently, Xavi only has De Jong, Gavi, and Balde sidelined due to injury, who won’t be playing again this season. Youngsters who are regularly involved with the first team, such as Kochen, Cubarsí, Lamine, and Héctor Fort, participated in training. However, players like Casadó or Marc Guiu were absent from the session as they are focused on Barcelona B, who will face Deportivo in Riazor on Sunday.

Barcelona needs all three points against Real Sociedad to put pressure on Girona and move closer to the second spot. The Blaugrana will already know the result of the Alavés-Girona match, which takes place on Friday, before they face Real Sociedad.

Barcelona has five players at risk of suspension. If Christensen, Romeu, Gündogan, Sergi Roberto, or Koundé receive a yellow card, they will miss the next match against Almería on Thursday, April 16th.
