Fabrizio Romano dismisses rumors of an Ansu Fati Ruben Neves swap deal
In recent weeks, there have been rumors that Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in signing Barcelona’s young star Ansu Fati this summer. However, the latest reports suggest that a swap deal involving Ruben Neves is unlikely to take place. Fati’s future has been a source of much speculation due to Barcelona’s financial difficulties, and it remains to be seen whether he will stay at the club or be sold.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona is not advancing with the Ansu Fati-Ruben Neves swap deal with Wolves, despite the links. Although Neves and Fati share the same agent, Jorge Mendes, the Portuguese midfielder is reportedly not a priority target for Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez.
Xavi is believed to be uninterested in Neves, and therefore, he is unlikely to approve of any deal involving him. Additionally, Fati wants to stay at Barcelona this summer, and it seems that his manager shares the same sentiment.
Despite Wolves’ interest in Fati, it remains to be seen whether they will pursue other targets. In any case, the young Spanish forward is highly sought after, and it would take a significant offer to convince Barcelona to part ways with him. Fati has been a bright spot in an otherwise turbulent season for Barcelona, and fans will be hoping that he remains at the club for years to come.
