Former Barcelona defender in high demand with Premier League clubs, set to bring in €9m for the club

In addition to selling first-team players, activating sell-on clauses in former players’ contracts could also generate funds for the club. One player that falls into this category is Jean-Clair Todibo, for whom Barcelona has a 20% sell-on agreement with OGC Nice. Todibo has attracted interest from Liverpool, Manchester United, and Newcastle United, and Nice has set an asking price of €45m for this summer. If the fee is received, Barcelona would stand to make €9m, which is much needed to help the club improve its financial position. The viability plan submitted by Barcelona to La Liga has been approved, and the club can now make arrangements to bring Messi back.
