Bayern Munich lists three players for sale, with Kimmich not included
In an effort to address their underperformance in the Champions League, Bayern Munich has made the decision to put three players on the transfer market. However, one player who will not be leaving the club is Joshua Kimmich. According to reports from Sports Bild in Germany, the three players made available for transfer are Sadio Mane, Leroy Sane, and Serge Gnabry.
Despite dominating the Bundesliga and clinching their 11th consecutive league title, Bayern believes that the lackluster performances from Mane, Sane, and Gnabry contributed to their Champions League struggles this season. As a result, the club has made the decision to offload them in order to revamp their squad.
A similar situation is unfolding at Barcelona, where despite winning the league title, they are aware that their current squad may not possess the capabilities to compete at the highest level in Europe. The departure of Sergio Busquets, a midfield powerhouse and influential leader, has further weakened their team.
Acknowledging the need for reinforcements, Barcelona’s newly appointed coach, Xavi, has emphasized that signing a top-quality defensive midfielder should be the club’s utmost priority in the upcoming transfer market. This has led to speculations linking Barcelona with Joshua Kimmich, who has established himself as a versatile and highly regarded midfielder at Bayern Munich.
However, securing the services of Kimmich may prove to be challenging for Barcelona, as Bayern has shown reluctance to part ways with the talented midfielder. It remains to be seen how both clubs will navigate the transfer market and address their respective needs in the coming months.
